Our areas of interest
We are interested in external opportunities which will help us deliver new products in the categories in which we operate which are valued by consumers and backed by scientific innovation.
We are also interested in acquiring local or regional Consumer Healthcare businesses which may provide GSK with additional scale in certain markets; in particular USA, Brazil, Japan and China.
We are keen to explore potential collaboration opportunities - on a flexible and creative basis - and reach agreements that make sense for both sides including:
- acquisition of brands or companies
- in-licensing of technology or finished products
- any other types of collaborations that will enable further growth
You can find out more about our areas of interest on our Open innovation website.
How we evaluate partnering opportunities
We base our approach to business development on our core values of respect, transparency and integrity and believe this is reflected in our reputation as a partner.
We will review all opportunities against our strategic areas of interest and communicate, openly and promptly, our level of interest to you as a prospective collaborator and/or alliance partner. Aside from commercial factors, we will only market or consider a product for launch if it has a strong scientific foundation.
We are keen to build long-term and enduring relationships throughout the deal process and thereafter.
We know that many great ideas can come from outside of GSK, and collaborating with other companies, organisations and academics is fundamental to our business strategy
