GSK is a global biopharma company with the ambition and purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.

We aim to positively impact the health of 2.5 billion people over the next 10 years. Our bold ambitions for patients are reflected in new commitments to growth and a step-change in performance.

We prioritise innovation in vaccines and specialty medicines, maximising the increasing opportunities to prevent and treat disease. At the heart of this is our R&D focus on the science of the immune system, human genetics and advanced technologies, and our world-leading capabilities in vaccines and medicines development. We will focus on four therapeutic areas: infectious diseases, HIV, oncology, and immunology.

Suomeksi

In Finland our medical, sales and marketing teams make a broad range of innovative prescription medicines and vaccines for acute and chronic diseases available to patients. The GSK Finland team has 100 people from a variety of backgrounds, and our office is located in Ruoholahti in Helsinki. We are an equal and flexible workplace with a culture of care and integrity, where everyone can develop, feel good and thrive regardless of background.

Research and innovation

We have a long research tradition in Finland, with a strong focus on vaccine clinical trials. New focus areas include research in gynaecologic oncology. We also conduct real-world evidence studies based on registry data to assess patient outcomes.

We are convinced that collaborations lead to great innovations. We partner with Finnish hospitals and academic researchers utilising the newest advanced technologies. We are an active partner of the FinnGen consortium that combines genome information with digital healthcare data, and the collaborative research and innovation project Cancer IO.

Sustainability and global health

We use our scientific expertise, our partnerships and our global reach to improve health globally. Through our global partnership with Save the Children, we have helped more than three million children.

It’s not only people’s health which is important – the health of our planet is imperative. We have set ambitious, industry leading environmental targets. In Finland, we have contributed by for example conducting research on how climate friendly and easy-to-use inhaler devices can significantly reduce the carbon footprint in asthma and COPD care.

Careers

Happy, motivated people are key to the success of our business, so we do everything we can to make working at GSK rewarding. We want our employees to fulfil their potential and accomplish great things, so we support them in doing so. We are an equal and flexible workplace with a culture of care and integrity, where everyone can develop, feel good and thrive regardless of background.

In addition to a broad package of other employment benefits, we offer extensive occupational healthcare for our employees, and our Partnership for Prevention programme provides access to preventative healthcare to our employees and their families or near ones.
